Number 6: Break Away [link]

We all know Squidward plays the clarinet. But since it plays pretty much the same as a sax (or so I'm told) I though it was time for him to try out something new!

I like Spongebob Squarepants but I'm not actually a big fan! It just so happens that I really need to practice my digital inking/shading at the moment and get my skills up to scratch, as I'm working on a digital commission for somebody at the moment. So I am drawing a lot of random and fun shit digitally. And it just so happens that Spongebob Squarepants is often on the TV in the background while I'm doing this!

If adding to your favourites, I would appreciate if you would take the time to write a comment saying why. A click on the favourites button alone means nothing to me, it's just spam.

If anything, this will probebly have an Even Worse outcome then that bloody clarinet.

For you, the day Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life. But for me... it was Tuesday.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING YOU MOTHERFUKERS!"
It was...........Dumbledore!
It looks like you used a gradient tool for the shading. :o How do you do that?
I didn't! I used the paintbrush!
Just the way it fades so...neatly..
Makes it look like a gradient tool was used.
I put the shading on and then erase it selecting a really big, soft brush for the eraser. I vary the sharpness and size of the paintbrush and eraser depending on whether I want an area to be sharply or softly shaded. Sometimes I take the opacity down in either of them. If there are any areas which are already quite intricately shaded nearby where I am doing this, I select the area I want to shade with the polygon tool, so that it won't interfere with the rest of the picture. I didn't use the polygon at all on this as its just a quicky, but I used it a lot in this one: [link] and thats one of the reasons (besides the fact that i just spent more time on it) that that picture looks better than this one. :) I never, EVER use the smudge, dodge or burn. :)
Oh, that's interesting! I've never actually thought of doing it like that..
I only ever use the smudge tool for clouds. XD I use the dodge tool for lighting things like hair, but that's it.
Oooh, bad habit! You should try to kick that..
